Description

The Rural Municipality of Francis No. 127 (2016 population: 674) is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 6 and SARM Division No. 1. It is located in the southeast portion of the province.

The RM of Francis No. 127 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909.

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Francis No. 127 recorded a population of 674 living in 252 of its 264 total private dwellings, a -0.3% change from its 2011 population of 676. With a land area of 1,106.79 km2 (427.33 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.6/km2 (1.6/sq mi) in 2016.In the 2011 Census of Population, the RM of Francis No. 127 recorded a population of 676, a 0.6% change from its 2006 population of 672. Government

The RM of Francis No. 127 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Thursday of every month. The reeve of the RM is Morley Richard while its administrator is Shala Kanasevich. The RM's office is located in Francis.
